Once upon a time, there was a brave young man whose name was Gei. He was respected by everyone. He married a woman whose name was Joga. She was very beautiful, mild-mannered and wise woman. She was liked by everyone. One day, Gei met a old Taoist when he was hunting. The Taoist admired Gei and gave him powdered medicine of eternal youth and immortality. But he didn’t use it and put away in safe place. Then, many people gathered around him. There was a cunning man whose name was Homo. Homo wanted to use the medicine.
On one August 15th, Gei went to hunt with his pupils. Homo got back before evening, and he stole into Joga’s room and he pressed her to give the medicine. However, she didn’t give it for him and she was forced to use it. Then, her body suddenly became light, and she slipped out of the window, and she flied up to the sky. But because her feeling that she loved Gei was so strong, she went down to the nearest moon from the earth. On next year August 15th, Gei imaged his wife-Joga. He offered her favorite fruits and foods under the moonlight.
This custom has continued every year, and became known in the world. August 15th was middle- fall, so people has became celebrated as Moon Festival.
